“Hey Netflix, can you send me all your snacks?” I asked.
Amazingly, the streamer actually tried, and it was soon clear I had made a terrible mistake. Netflix actually has a lot of official branded snacks and drinks in the U.S., and even more internationally, to “offer fans an opportunity to experience their favorite shows beyond the screen.” The sheer number of snacks quickly became apparent as one delivery driver after another started ringing the doorbell and shoving boxes into my arms, like some snack-overwhelm version of Hogwarts sending endless copies of their wizard school acceptance letter. Mercifully, some of Netflix’s limited time promotional items were no longer in stock. Also, the streamer’s most posh items weren’t sent (so no $59 Bridgerton Floral Petit mascarpone mini-cakes).
Still, I was able to research the online reactions to the streamer’s extensive food and beverage tie-in line while personally sampling at least some of the items.
So here are 12 types of Netflix official snacks that have been launched over the past few years, unscientifically ranked by their binge-consuming potential from the most binge-y to the least binge-y.
1. Netflix Now Popping Popcorn
A recently launched product line. We tore through these bags of Cult Classic Cheddar Kettle and Swoonworthy Cinnamon Kettle as if we were famished apocalypse survivors who just found them in the Leave the World Behind bunker.
2. Ben and Jerry’s Netflix & Chill’d Ice Cream
Launched four years ago, this tasty Netflix & Chill’d peanut butter-and-pretzel ice cream is still available to enjoy with your Tinder hookup (Lactaid sold separately).
3. Bridgerton Williams Sonoma Collection
If you watch Bridgerton thinking, “I will never afford that lifestyle,” now you can have that same feeling while browsing a line of snack foods. OK, several items in the show’s extensive and delectable-looking Williams Sonoma collection are quite affordable, but it’s all quite hoity-toity — such as the $49 rice crispy treats (they have a crown on them!) and the $349 picnic basket to carry them in.
4. Love Is Blind‘s Love Is Wine
Almost sold out. After a few glasses of this intoxicating chardonnay, you will also think you look like Megan Fox.
5. Stranger Things Scoops Ahoy Assorted Ice Creams
With seven flavors such as The Void and Cinnamon Bun Bytes, these ice creams are pretty yummy (and widely available). But this entry loses a few points as Joe Kerry and Maya Hawke are not available to personally hand you each serving.
6. Stranger Things Surfer Boy Pizza
With toppings like pineapple jalapeño and BBQ chicken (and after going viral on TikTok), fans turned Wal-Mart stores upside down looking for these. Now you’ll need portal to 2023 to find any.
7. One Piece Gum Gum Devil Fruit Gummy
Unlike the show’s “devil fruit,” this won’t give you superpowers, and looks like an intimidating esophagus-blocking ball of death, but we’re told this thing sold out immediately at FYE stores.
8. Bridgerton Republic of Tea, Assorted Flavors
These are nice, widely available, and each flavor is branded to different characters, like Eloise’s Lemon Mint Black Tea and Francesca’s Rose Chamomile tea. Appropriately, you have to drink Colin and Penelope’s Ginger Peach Vanilla for three seasons before you get any flavor.
9. Stranger Things 3D Crunch Three Cheese Doritos
Sold out, but a dude who reviewed these on YouTube while sitting in his car said: “Very cheesy. They’re good. A lot like a Cheeto. Very similar to a regular Dorito. It’s OK.”
10. The Witcher‘s Hoppy Helles Geralt’s Gold Non-Alcoholic Brew
A medieval-inspired beer without any alcohol? Why, that would be like a season of The Witcher without any Henry Cavill!
11. Bridgerton International Delight Berries and Cream Creamer
Released with the his show’s third season, the berries and cream is perfect for those who like their coffee to taste like roasted cheesecake.
12. Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon G-Fuel Imperium Tonic Energy Powder in Collector’s Box
Limited edition and tough to find. With 140 mg of caffeine and 1,000 mg of Taurine, this energy powder came in a collector’s box (which is sort of like the director’s cut of excessive product packaging). Eat enough of this stuff, and everything will look like it’s in slo-motion!
