Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt’s romance may be a thing of the past, but that doesn’t mean they don’t still care about each other.
Aniston, in particular, is reportedly concerned for her ex-husband after a harsh Instagram post from his adopted son recently resurfaced, where Pitt was labeled a “f*g awful human being.”
According to reports, Pax Jolie-Pitt wrote the post in 2020, but it only came to light last week. Pitt, the star of Fight Club, is said to be upset that it has started making rounds in the media.
The post, written on Father’s Day, saw Pax express his frustrations and his negative feelings towards his adoptive father without holding back.
Pax was adopted by Angelina Jolie from an orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, in 2007. At the time, Pax was just three years old, having been left at the orphanage as a newborn by his biological mother, who was struggling with heroin addiction.
Reports suggest that Pitt became Pax’s adoptive father shortly after the adoption, but it seems their relationship has had its difficulties.
“You have made the lives of those closest to me a constant hell,” Pax allegedly wrote on his private Instagram account in 2020. “You may tell yourself and the world whatever you want, but the truth will come to light someday.”
He concluded with: “So Happy Father’s Day, you f*g awful human being.”
According to new sources, Brad Pitt finds it “depressing” to see this brought up again after several years.
A source told The Sun: “It’s frustrating to see Brad being painted as some kind of ‘bad person,’ when it’s far from the truth.” They added that Brad has “great respect” for all of his children and is maintaining a “dignified silence” regarding Pax’s post.
Recent reports from OK! Magazine now suggest that Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston has been a “rock of support” for him during this time.
An insider reportedly told OK!: “Her first thought was how upset he must be. To be attacked in that way by someone he cares about so dearly will have been heartbreaking for him.”
The source continued: “A lot of people assume they don’t talk because their break-up was so tumultuous, but they have been in touch for years and she has always been a rock of support. They have become good friends despite all the heartache. Jen cares deeply about Brad and vice versa.”
Pitt and his former partner, actress Angelina Jolie, are parents to six children: 22-year-old Maddox, 19-year-old Pax, 18-year-old Zahara, 17-year-old Shiloh, and 15-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
Meanwhile, Aniston is still mourning the loss of her former Friends co-star, Matthew Perry. The two remained close friends after the show ended in 2004, and Perry’s sudden death has profoundly affected Aniston.
