Celine Dion, 56, is in Paris, and there are reports suggesting it’s not just because she wants to watch the Olympics. Multiple sources have stated the Canadian singer will perform at the opening ceremony!
This could potentially mark the first time she’s taken the stage since revealing her stiff person syndrome diagnosis.
On Monday, Dion arrived in Paris and was spotted at the Royal Monceau hotel near the Champs-Élysées. A video on social media showed her greeting a crowd as she exited the building.
TMZ reported Dion is poised to make her comeback on Friday during the opening ceremony for the 2024 Olympics.
At this moment there are very few details about Dion’s possible comeback; however, the Queen of Power Ballads recently hinted to Vogue France that a return to the stage was closer than anyone may have anticipated.
“I’ve chosen to work with all my body and soul, from head to toe, with a medical team. I want to be the best I can be. My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower again!”
This wouldn’t be Dion’s first Olympics. In 1996 she opened up the Olympic Games in Atlanta with “The Power of the Dream.” A record-setting 3.5 billion people tuned in.
I hope it’s true! It’s been so long since we’ve seen Celine Dion perform.
