The Forces of Nature actress is reportedly ready to get back to work after a two-year hiatus and is “open to the possibility” of dating again
Sandra Bullock is ready to get back into the swing of things after more than two years out of the spotlight and a year after losing her partner.
Sandra announced more than two years ago that she was taking an indefinite hiatus from acting to be home with her two children, Louis, 14, and Layla, 11. Then last August, she lost her partner of eight years, photographer Bryan Randall, who died after a secret battle with ALS. He was 57.
Now a source is telling UsWeekly that the actress is “open to the possibility” of dating in the future, even though she is still “healing slowly, keeping Bryan’s memory alive and focusing on her children.”
The actress turned 60 on July 26, and entering a new decade has made her reflect on her career and look ahead to what’s to come—and is reportedly considering putting an end to her acting break. “Sandra’s gradually reemerging into public life,” a source said in the magazine’s latest issue. “She’s excited about what the future holds,” the source adds. “She’s ready to get back in the game.”
After spending the past few years being active with her kids and grieving the loss of her partner, she is ready to get back to work. “Sandra missed acting,” the insider said.
Amid her break, the Miss Congeniality star appeared on the 50 MPH podcast in May with Keanu Reeves, to talk about their 1994 film, Speed. They both agreed that they want to work together on the same project again.
“Before I die, before I leave this planet, I do think that Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera,” she shared. He responded: “I would love to work with you again before our eyes close. We’d freakin’ knock it out of the park.”
Until then, fans can expect Sandra to reunite with another former costar soon. Nicole Kidman also confirmed in June that they will be reprising their roles in the upcoming sequel to 1998’s Practical Magic.
Sandra released two films in 2022, The Lost City and Bullet Train, and she hasn’t worked since. She shared a message saying she felt “burnt out” and “tired” after decades of working, on top of taking care of her partner and children.
