(Worthy News) – President-Elect Trump confirmed his plans to declare a national emergency, aiming to manage the deportation of millions of undocumented immigrants with the assistance of the U.S. military.
Earlier this month, Tom Fitton, president of the conservative group Judicial Watch, wrote on Truth Social that Trump is “prepared to declare a national emergency and will use military assets to reverse the Biden invasion through a mass deportation program.”
On Monday, Trump re-shared Fitton’s comment on his TruthSocial account, adding the caption, “TRUE!!”
However, Trump did not provide further details about the plan, leaving it unclear whether he intends for U.S. troops to act as deportation officers with arrest powers or simply use them in a support role.
Trump pledged during his campaign to deport millions of undocumented immigrants. With an estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants residing in the U.S., his proposed mass deportations could affect millions of families nationwide.
Trump has committed to initiating mass deportations immediately upon taking office, declaring that there is “no price tag” on the operation.
“When people have killed and murdered, when drug lords have destroyed countries, and now they’re going to go back to those countries because they’re not staying here. There is no price tag,” he stated.
Tom Homan, designated by President-Elect Trump as his border czar and apparent coordinator of immigration policy, has vowed to unleash “shock and awe” in response to the substantial influx of illegal immigrants that has surged into the U.S. over the past four years.
